  5. DBSCAN is an easy-to-use browsing utility that allows you to view the
  6. contents of dBase III files without having to enter the dBase program.
  7. DBSCAN is a stand-alone program that you access from the DOS system
  8. prompt.  It allows you to view the DBF files but not to change them.
  9. However, you have considerably more control on the fields displayed and
  10. where you want them displayed on the screen.  You can use it to scan
  11. dBASE and compatible databases (with a .DBF extension).

  13. EXTLIB is a library of over 50 C run-time video routines for the
  14. advanced MS-DOS C programmer.
  15.  
  16. EXTLIB features windows, pop-up and pulldown menus, menu bars, scroll
  17. bars, direct video memory I/O, and cursor control routines to be used
  18. with Microsoft C or QuickC.  In addition to these video routines there
  19. are formatted display input routines (dollars, for instance) and
  20. advanced error handling functions.  The small, medium, compact, and
  21. large memory models are all supported.  EXTLIB also comes with the
  22. floating point emulator or 80x87 packages.
